Our Story

Born From a Belief in Uganda's Potential

Horizon Consulting Africa was founded in 2014 by a group of Ugandan professionals who had experienced firsthand the gap between the potential of local talent and the quality of development support available.

After careers spanning international development, banking, and corporate management, our founding team returned to Kampala with a clear purpose: to build a consulting and coaching firm that genuinely understood the Ugandan context — the regulatory environment, the business culture, the aspirations, and the constraints.

Starting from a modest two-room office on Kira Road, we grew steadily by doing one thing well — delivering measurable results. Word spread. Clients returned. Referrals multiplied. Today, our team of 18 specialists serves hundreds of individuals and organisations each year across Uganda and the wider East African Community.

A Decade of Milestones

2014

Founded in Kampala

Horizon Consulting Africa is established at Plot 62 Kira Road, Bukoto, with a founding team of three consultants and a bold vision for Uganda.

2016

Executive Coaching Programme Launched

We introduced our flagship executive coaching offer, becoming the first dedicated coaching firm for C-suite leaders in Central Uganda.

2018

100th Client Milestone

We celebrated our 100th client engagement — a testament to the trust Kampala's business community had placed in our approach.

2020

Virtual Coaching Platform

In response to the pandemic, we rapidly developed a secure virtual coaching platform, enabling continuity for clients across Uganda and beyond.

2022

East Africa Expansion

We extended our services to clients in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda, establishing Horizon as a regional leader in people development.

2026

350+ Clients & Growing

Today we serve over 350 clients with a team of 18 specialists, and we're more committed than ever to Uganda's professional community.
